Our Cats

Meet our King and Queens

Every Paws & Plumes kitten starts with its parents. Our breeding cats are thoughtfully selected for health, temperament, and the classic Maine Coon look, and undergo comprehensive health and genetic screening.

King

Fathom

  • European Maine Coon
  • Red & high white
  • Blue eyes
  • Championship lines

Meet Fathom, the gentle giant at the heart of Paws & Plumes. He's a European Maine Coon, red and high white, with striking blue eyes and a frame that is simply huge. His sire was imported from Russia and his dam from Turkey, and he carries championship lines on both sides.

What makes Fathom unforgettable is his heart. He's softer than any stuffed animal, he happily walks on a harness, and he has loved every person and every animal he has ever met. People stop mid-step to stare when they see him. He is, quite simply, the epitome of a gentle giant, and that is exactly the temperament we hope to pass on.

Ember

  • Black smoke
  • Boss of the pack

Meet Ember, our black smoke queen. Calling her regal is an understatement. From her very first day she was part of the pack, and, naturally, the boss of it.

Ember moves with the agility of an Olympic gymnast, yet she's soft as butter in your arms. She's the kind of cat who changes minds.

“She turned my husband ‘pro cat’ after two decades of being ‘no cat.’”— the Paws & Plumes family
